Historical properties (assets) are delineated as \"building\", \"site\", \"structure\", \"object\" and \"district\" within the feature class. The definitions for these types are as follows: <\/SPAN><\/P> Building - A building, such as a house, barn, church, <\/SPAN>hotel, or similar construction, is created principally<\/SPAN><\/SPAN>to shelter any form of human activity.<\/SPAN><\/SPAN>\"Building\" may also be used to refer to a historically<\/SPAN><\/SPAN> and functionally related unit, such as a<\/SPAN><\/SPAN>courthouse and jail or a house and barn.<\/SPAN><\/P> Site - A site is the location of a significant event, a<\/SPAN>prehistoric or historic occupation or activity, or<\/SPAN><\/SPAN>a building or structure, whether standing, ruined,<\/SPAN><\/SPAN>or vanished, where the location itself possesses<\/SPAN><\/SPAN>historic, cultural, or archeological value <\/SPAN><\/SPAN>regardless of the value of any existing structure.<\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/P> <\/P> Structure - The term \"structure\" is used to distinguish <\/SPAN>from buildings those functional constructions<\/SPAN><\/SPAN>made usually for purposes other than creating<\/SPAN><\/SPAN> human shelter.<\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/P> <\/P> Object - The term \"object\" is used to distinguish from <\/SPAN>buildings and structures those constructions <\/SPAN><\/SPAN>that are primarily artistic in nature or are relatively<\/SPAN><\/SPAN>small in scale and simply constructed.
